The Work of the Comforter

What kind of peace is John talking about in this passage? Why weren’t the disciples asking Christ what He meant by this death He is describing? Is election salvation? Why did Christ have to die for His sheep? Why was Christ’s death necessary? Why did the Spirit come into the world? When were the disciples saved? How is this all about giving Christ all the glory?
