Terror in Jerusalem, Joy in Samaria

The gospel is NOT advice, it's news... good news! Do you know the difference between good advice and good news? Good news is better by far, and when the good news of the Kingdom of God and the good news of Jesus Christ reached the Samaritans, they rejoiced, believed and were baptized.

This sermon picks up at the conclusion of the stoning of Stephen, with Saul of Tarsus on a vendetta to utterly destroy the church and Christians fleeing in terror for their lives from the city of Jerusalem. But the devil's purpose is frustrated, for in the midst of the dispersion of the church throughout Judea and Samaria, the gospel (good news) spread with powerful effect.

Consider with me the way in which God uses even the wickedness of a man like Saul to bring about his own purposes exactly according to his plan!
