Faith as a Grain of Mustard Seed

Why did they ask for Christ to increase their faith? Why does the LORD Jesus Christ admonish His disciples for asking that their faith be increased? Why didn't the disciples see Christ as Faith and how does He direct their thoughts to Him? Is there anything in us that should or could be increased? Why did Job say that he thought he knew God? Why do people think they have control of their fate and their faith and what does God say about that in Job? Why does God bring us low? Why is shutting our vile mouth the best thing before this Holy God? How does Scripture depict Christ always as the very personification of Faith?
