Lord's Day 6 When the Son of God became a man like us

30 ( 17 | 13 )

When the Son of God became a man like us, God could attack and destroy our sins:

  1. God first attacked and destroyed sin in Jesus Christ
  2. God now attacks and destroys sin in our hearts and lives
    Introduction:
1 What does Christmas mean for us? What did Christmas mean for the Son of God?
    Point 1:
2 Why is it ironical that the Son of God became a human being?
3 Why – according to Paul – did Jesus Christ have to become a man? What had Satan done?
4 In what two senses was Jesus righteous?
    Point 2:
5 When God 'condemns' sin in our heart, does He do that ONLY as a judge? What else is involved?
6 How does God destroy the power of sin in our hearts and our lives? What is His GREATEST weapon?
