Immanuel - God With Us

This message was given by Pastor Jonathan Stobbs as he continued his morning ministry in the Gospel of John. 'The Word became flesh' should be a statement that has great impact on us. That God should come to live amongst us so that He could be known is one of the most incredible realities underlined by the Scriptures. In this message, Pastor Stobbs explains how John impresses on us again the deity of Christ, and also the depth of what John is saying by showing how Christ fulfilled the types of the Old Testment Tabernacle. A number of fascinating comparisons here, but none moreso than the reality that the tabernacle was the place where sacrifices where made. There is no approach by man to God without means of sacrifice. How clear for us, that right now, that has not changed! There is no approach to God except through faith in the person and sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ, who in the tabernacle of his flesh offered Himself on the cross of Calvary.
