God's Redemptive Purpose

Our job as believers is to do our best to expose our world with the truth of the Gospel. Wherever the church touches the world the name of the game is evangelism. We need to be ready to take advantage of every opportunity which comes our way to share the Gospel with people. However, in the Biblical view of this process, we are not to create great flashy programs to bring people to the Gospel. We are to bring the Gospel to people.

Let me show you what I mean. "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20). We are to go to all kinds of people. They did not go everywhere creating marvelous programs to get a hearing for the Word. They proclaimed the Word to everyone they met.
