09. Sardis: Church of the living dead

Jesus addresses the church at Sardis. He has nothing good to say about them. In fact, he tells them that while they have a reputation that they are alive, they are in all reality dead. Pastor Robert Rohlin shows how the unique cultural background of Sardis lends to an even more vivid understanding of this passage. There are many "dead" churches today where form and ritual continue, but where people no longer connect with the resurrected Christ.
