08. Thyatira: Rebuke of a Harlot

Pastor Robert Rohlin continues his series on the letters of Christ to the 7 churches of Asia Minor. Christ commends a few things at Thyatira, but then points out their toleration of Jezebel and how she is corrupting the church. While pastor Rohlin believes the 7 letters are to 7 churches existing at the time John records these words of Jesus, the letter to the church at Thyatira does seem to also parallel a period of church history with the rise of the official Roman Catholic church. Tradition began to take an equal weight with Scripture. Pastor Rohlin shows us that our ONLY guide of faith and practice must be the words of Scripture.
