The Darker Side of the Moon
As were bringing this series to a close I wanted to bring up one more thing about Sun Myung Moon before we look at witnessing to Unification Church members. According to Moon and other sources, Moon was involved in and endorsed the occult. Sun Myung Moon was involved in clairvoyance, necromancy, séances and trances among other occult practices. Divine Principle (pgs. 16, 58, 60, 77, 88, 163, 181-182, 529).

In Divine Principle page 529 Sun Myung Moon said "Therefore, countless men of religion are receiving very clear revelations concerning the Lord's Second Coming in Korea in many different ways, by contacting many spirit men of various levels : from the realm of miscellaneous spirits to the realm of the paradise level spirits. Nevertheless, the leaders of the present Christian world, due to their spiritual ignorance, are still unresponsive, and have refused to pay heed to such things. This is similar to what happened in Jesus' day, when the chief priests and rabbis, who should have been the first to know of the coming of the Messiah, were entirely unaware of the fact due to their spiritual ignorance, while, on the other hand, the astrologers and shepherds knew of the message through revelations."
Contacting men and women who are dead is a practice called necromancy and the Lord explicitly forbids it in the Bible. He also seems to be endorsing the use of astrology. Astrology and the use of the zodiac to predict future events is also expressly forbidden in the Bible. See Deuteronomy 18:9-14 below.
