Called to the Mission of Jesus

As we see in Jesus, to be truly human is to lay one's life down for another.
If such an act of love merely ended in the grave, then what would be the use? It would simply be one life ended in place of another which would eventually come to an end anyhow. But there is the resurrection! A living God and a Risen Saviour! And so there is life, joy and hope for all who follow him. We are not called to be spectators of this mystery, but to participate in it. We too can love and serve, and lay down our lives as we speak the gospel, the words of life to another with great confidence and hope in our risen Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
