Achish Thinks David a Mad Man

David is now forced into hiding because Saul had determined to kill him and will not repent. The first place David comes to is Nob, where the high priest lives, and then to Gath. David, taking God at His word, though on the way to the throne must forsake all before that time comes. There's a good lesson for every child of God here. Let the wisdom of God direct our lives unto the day of the coming of Jesus Christ.
