Sermon: THE SON OF MAN HAS AUTHORITY TO FORGIVE SINS

In this account of the Lord Jesus healing the Paralytic Man, we have some astounding teaching being given. Jesus demonstrates his power to heal, but more than this he demonstrates his identity as the eternal Son of God.

He knows what the Scribes are thinking before the breath a word. He challenges their unbelief with a proclamation and a demonstration of His power.

Passage is encouraging and challenging to us as we can be fully assured of God's grace and Christ's ability to forgive our sins. He did and spoke these words before his death and resurrection, and now is exalted to the Father's right hand.
