I. The Exhortation (vs. 18)
- “Servants, be submissive to Your Masters with all Fear” (v. 18a)
• “With all Fear” (Matthew 10:28; Hebrews 13:6; Ephesians 6:5-7; Colossians 3:22)
II. The Explanation (vs. 19-20)
• “Conscience Toward God (v. 19) = “With All Fear” (v. 18a) (Romans 13:1; 1 Peter 2:15, 12)
• Not as “Men-Pleasers (Colossians 3:22; Matthew 6:16)
• Overcome Evil with Good (Romans 12:1; 5:10; Matthew 5:43-48; Romans 12:17-21; Hebrews 12:12-15)
Conclusion/Application
• We Can only be Submissive to our Employers, especially the Harsh Ones, by the Grace of God, Looking to Him in All Ways for Wisdom
