“Who's Your Daddy?”

The Two Fathers of Humanity – Gen. 3:15; Jn. 8:37-44
Children of the Devil are liars like their father (1 Jn. 1:6, 8, 10; 2:4); Do not keep the commandments and hate (2:3-11); Love the world (2:15-17); and are Antichrists (2:18-27).
We, Children of God confess our sins and are faithfully forgiven; keep his commandments and love the brethren; As little children, fathers and young men we know the Father and will overcome the wicked one (2:12-14); do not love the world but do the will of God; and by confessing that Jesus is the Christ will abide with both the Son and the Father.

A. Little children, Abiding, anticipating His appearing, righteousness – born of Him, 2:28-29
B. Love of the Father bestowed on Children of God, 3:1
C. We are children of God and shall be like Him, 3:2-3
D. Sin and Lawlessness, 3:4
E. He appeared to take away sin, 3:5
F. No one abiding sins, 3:6
G Little Children: righteousness, 3:7
F' Practicing sin: of the Devil, 3:8a
E' Son of God appeared to destroy the works of the Devil, 3:8b
D' His seed remains: no sin because he is born of God. 3:9a
C' Cannot sin because he is born of God, 3:9b
B' Children of God/Devil, 3:10a
A' Being of God means practicing righteousness and loving, 3:10b
