Parables of Lost Things

In Luke 15 Jesus begins a response to the Pharisees' grumbling by telling three parables. In the first two parables--the parable of the lost sheep and the parable of the lost coin--we see that a self-righteous heart focuses on the unfairness of God's grace and that God calls us to rejoice with Him in the grace He extends. Our response should be to rejoice and extend God's grace with a humble heart.
