Did Christ Die in Vain?

Paul, having heard that some men have come up to the new Galatian believers and taught that trusting in Christ alone is not enough to be accepted by God. These men taught that we must also obey the old testament laws, especially the rite of circumcision, or God will not save us from our sin. Paul attacks this idea in very strong language to show that salvation is due to the work of Christ alone.
