How to Find the Godly Spouse
Series Series in Genesis
Aim: To practice faithfulness and obedience with regard to our hearts' nearest relational decisions.
Why this subject applies to all God's people: because we are to be equally yoked, and because we are to be engendering righteousness.
Exegesis: Spiritual obedience for godly linkage: partner with church saints (vv. 1-4); earnestly seek God's best (vv. 10-14); join virtue with purity (vv. 15-19); get wise counsel from others (vv. 24-28).
Further application: How to implement this plan: determine to be holy and to trust God.
Key verse: v. 27 ''And he said, 'Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His lovingkindness and His truth toward my master; as for me, the LORD has guided me in the way to the house of my master's brothers.'''
