Our Bountiful God

Aim: To love and emulate our bountiful God.

Doctrine: Our bountiful God is exceedingly generous with us. He makes sure His church's needs are met; He even surprises us with unanticipated gifts.

Exegesis: The ways our bountiful God blesses His church: by allowing us to minister to one another (vv. 14-16); by our being unable to ''out-give'' the Lord (vv. 17-18); by pouring His treasures on us, through Christ (vv. 19-20).

Further application: How we become like our bountiful God: be believing that all we have was given us in Christ, and by returning everything to God in Holy heart-worship.

Key verse: v. 19 ''And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.''
