Although it is often referred to as 'the Last Supper' that meal that Christ shared with the disciples in the upper room is more accurately described as either The Last Passover or The First Lord's Supper. The crucifixion of Christ marked the actual sacrifice of the Lamb that takes away the sins of the world that the Passover meal could only foreshadow. From that point on, the meal of the church was to be a meal of remembrance looking back to the sacrifice of Christ and looking forward to the marriage supper of the Lamb tha the saints will share with Christ in heaven.

This sermon also deals with the questions about the supper such as, the origins of the false Roman Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation, the supper's role as a means of grace, what profound truths it shows us, why it is not a converting ordinance, whether only those who have not committed any known sins should come to the table, and why infants, unbelievers, and those who have not yet joined the church should not partake of it.
