The Angelic Announcement : The Saviour Is Born

In the common-place obscurity of Bethlehem, a baby was born. Luke pans out over the darkened evening countryside where we see an explosion of light: the angel of the Lord breaks open the sky to announce to a frighten cluster of shepherds that "a Savior who is Christ, the Lord" has been born in Bethlehem. We examine the "great joy" which is "for all the people" and unpack this majestic title: "Savior", "Christ", & "the Lord". This announcement is for us! At long last, the yearning desire of man since the Fall has been met: the Savior, Christ the Lord has come!
