Christian Courage

Paul was a man of great courage, not by nature, but by grace. The root of his courage was that he knew Christ loved him and had died for him. This courage was not without its conflicts, and it was not the sort of hardness that makes a man obnoxious, but because it was deep-rooted, it gave a flexibility that would seek peace, but never compromise.
