Keeping God's Sabbath

Too often people think of the Sabbath as a list of do's and don'ts - as though the Sabbath were designed to be a day of drudgery.

The Sabbath is a gift from our Heavenly Father; a day to know that he is God and we are not. It is a day that we need as pilgrims heading for the promised land, a day of refreshing - to abide in the Lord and delight in Jesus Christ. The Sabbath is a day of rejoicing!

God designed the Sabbath to be at the very centre of our Christian life and piety.

We need this day. What better way could there be of relieving stress in our busy lives?
