Seeing Christ by Faith

Having just mentioned Jesus Christ at the end of the previous verse, Peter focuses on the People of God and their relationship with Christ by Faith.

Even more specifically, he describes the People of God by what their faith has produced in them.

The Fruit of their faith being the Joyful, Loving, Believing and Receiving of the Savior and the Salvation that He has purchased on their behalf.

And Peter states that the source of their faith is not found in what is viewed with their physical site, but rather with the eyes of faith.

A Christian is someone who stakes all of his hopes upon a world of reality that he can not see with his physical eyes and all of his hopes to obtain that unseen reality upon person that they can not see with his physical sight.

Therefore a Christian is called to Walk by Faith and Not by Sight.

In this passage, Peter lists three characters that are consistently found in the People of Faith.

They are found to be...

Loving Christ by Faith
Leaning Upon Christ by Faith
Living for Christ by Faith

On the Broadcast today I will talk about the first of these three points.
