I am God’s Superstar!
1)Text: “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” (Galatians 6:3)

2)Doctrine: Christians must be on guard against the sin of pride. The subtle sin of pride cut down Adam and Eve in the Garden. The ultimate form of this sin (acting as your own god) is what sends a person to Hell. (Genesis 3:1-6)

3)Reasons: Essential questions need to be answered regarding this teaching.

1.What is the sin of pride? (Isaiah 14:4-15)
2.How do we commit the sin of pride? (1 John 2:16)
3.What is the antidote after being poisoned by pride? (Jeremiah 9:23,24)

4)Application:

1.The Christian must never believe they “know better” than God.
2.Christians may feel content and gratified, but never superior and prideful when helping a fellow believer. (Proverbs 16:18,19)
3.The Church or individual believer should never overestimate themselves before God. (Think about the location of the Churches of Revelation; Revelation 3:17-22)
