Thieving to Giving

Paul counseled the believers in Ephesus to stop stealing because there are many ways that those with unrenewed minds continue to steal. It is only by bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ that believers can obey what God commands with respect to theft. We see in this sermon that fundamental to God's plan of restoration is a proper attitude toward labor, i.e., working hard. The sermon also looks at God's whole counsel with respect to helping those in need, showing that unless our charity is guided by God's law-word, we will be compounding the problem of poverty.
