The church at Pergamum lived in what Jesus called "The Throne of Satan" and "The Place where Satan dwells." And yet, the believers of Pergamum did not lose their faith in the midst of spiritual oppression and persecution. However, the wrath of God was about to be poured out upon them for their tolerance of false teaching, spiritual adultery, and of professed believers that would not repent. Their church was given a decision: repent of face the sword of Jesus Christ.
