The Daughters of Zelophehad

The basis of faith, as illustrated by the daughters of Zelophehad, is God's faithfulness to His word. These sisters rested upon God's faithfulness as previously demonstrated to Abraham and Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph. Not withstanding the sins and death of their father, they believed that God was faithful and they were not disappointed. Their circumstances reflect that children and women are often exposed to enormous consequences coming from the neglect, folly, and sin of a man. Men should be duly warned by Zelophehad's example and the dilemma into which he cast his daughters.
