The Christian And Warfare

243

When just occasions of war arise, Christians must gather courage and be a helper to God to prosecute the malefactors.

When wars are lawful, all lawful means must be used to defeat the enemy. There is no substitute for victory.

When God's children may undertake a just war, let them prepare themselves to holiness. Men ought to sanctify themselves by repenting of sins, purging their consciences, and serving under God's banner first of all.

Citizens must be willing to pay for the prosecution of a just war.

We must not sleep when called to fight, for such was the ruin of Laish.

Also considers two objections often heard against the Christian being involved in war.
