Jesus: A Stranger and Alien

The apostle Paul in Romans 11:9 told his readers this psalm was penned by David. In four New Testament passages we are told our text concerns Christ. Though He was treated as a stranger and alien, Jesus was consumed with His mission. What mission? To satisfy divine justice, fulfill God's Law, establish righteousness, remit sin, to save, redeem and justify God's elect. Rejected even by His own brothers, Jesus went to Jerusalem to suffer on the Cross.
