As an explanation of Paul's confidence in God's Providence (see verse 28), Paul explains that the whole of the redemptive process is a matter of God's Sovereignty. Verse 29 begins "The Golden Chain of Redemption" and in our sermon today we began our study with the first two links in that chain: Foreknew and Predestined.
