STANDING IN THE BREACH
TEXT: 2 Kings 12:1-16; 2 Chronicles 24:1-14

SUMMARY. God’s people, during times of incomplete reformation, need to be realistic about the times, determine what is most important, and perform their spiritual duties faithfully.

I. THEY NEEDED TO DISCERN THE TIMES.

B. Like the People of God then, we also need to discern our own times.

II. THEY NEEDED TO DETERMINE THE MARROW.
A. The Scottish “Marrow Men.”
B. Jehoiada’s Marrow Men.
C. The Marrow of Our Day.

III. THEY NEEDED TO DEVELOP THEIR TACTICS.
A. For the OT Jews: the “Monotony” of Levitical Worship.
B. For the NT Church: the “Monotony” of Spiritual Worship.
