“Father Open Their Eyes! Those Crazy Corinthians! Part 10 (1 Corinthians 2:9-13)
1) Mankind in his corrupt nature cannot comprehend the blessings of God, either present or future. (1 Corinthians 2:9; John 3:1-15)
2) Only the living Spirit of God can open the eyes of a dead man, so he can see the riches of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:10,11; 2 Kings 6:8-17)
3) Christians are given understanding by a Sovereign God concerning spiritual things. This is done by the Holy Spirit guiding us against the spirit of this world. Through King Jesus we already have the ability to conquer the spirit of the world, regardless of our material circumstances. (1 Corinthians 2:12,13; 2 Kings 6:18-23; Luke 9:1-6)
