Perfection through Perversion

Sandwiched between two chapters in the narrative of Joseph, God chose to insert the account of Judah and Tamar and the perversion that took place between them. Why would God tuck that chapter in there? What is He saying to us? Remarkably, this chapter is critical, showing he God even uses perversion to bring about His perfect intentions.
