The Enfleshed Son

199 ( 175 | 24 )

John introduces his gospel by taking us back to the beginning of creation and introducing the Logos/Creator who was with God at the dawn of creation and who fully shared the Father's deity. 'He was with God and was God'. He is the One through whom all things have come into being. Not only is He the maker of all things but He is life itself without which man lives in darkness. When He came into His own world His world did not recognize Him - even His own people did not receive Him.

The Creator Son has stepped into the creation Himself - the Word became flesh and pitched His tent among us. The Son did not reveal the Father's glory under ideal and sterile conditions. He lived out His en-fleshed life in a fallen world subject to temptation, under attack from the Enemy and in the face of a hostile world system but there was no sin in this holy Son. Instead, what we saw was a life full of grace and truth in which the Father, from whose side He had come, was breathtakingly made known. To receive this One is to be born again into the very Family of God!
