The trial of Jesus

Jesus is taken to the high priest and then to Pilate. Now Peter was present when Jesus was taken to the high priest and denied Christ when asked if he was a disciple. Two other times did he deny the Lord and Peter denied the Christ. Pilate hears the case and questions Jesus, yet Pilate is confused over the crime that they demand against Jesus, saying: "I find in him no fault at all". Yet the Jew demand that Jesus should be put to death.
