Suffering With Christ

Suffering is a fact of life. Why? Because God answered the rebellion and fall of mankind into sin with a curse of death (and all the suffering that leads to it).
Can we hope for deliverance from suffering and death? Yes! Through faith in Christ the Son of God who triumphed over death and gives us a living hope through His resurrection.
The actual sufferings and particular afflictions of Christians and non-Christians may be outwardly identical. But they are profoundly different in meaning. For those still living unrepentant in sinful rebellion, suffering expresses God’s wrath on sin and warns of His Judgment on the last Day. For believers in Christ suffering is not about God’s anger, but is to be received in full confidence of the Father’s love and care. What makes this difference? Christ -

1. CHRIST SUFFERED FOR US (all sinner who trust in Him).

2. WE ARE CALLED TO SUFFER FOR & WITH HIM.

3. CHRIST IS WITH US IN ALL OUR SUFFERING
