While it is true that to be divided over things like race or culture or social or financial status, or division based on education or gender or age is sinful and wrong, it is equally true that there are some very specific Biblical reasons to divide people from people, even among believers, and in some cases especially among believers with the sinful world. When we use the word "holy", we are using a word that denotes this division or separation. "Holy" means that the thing or object that is holy is "different" or it is "set aside" or it is "called out" or "separated" or "divided" from everything else and anything else.
