The Influence of False Teachers

Greed, immorality, and arrogance characterize the lifestyles of false teachers. The conduct of these hypocrites who well know how a Christian should live reveal the corruption in their hearts by their conduct. Indulging the flesh will be ongoing in their lives while they brazenly claim forgiveness of their sins that they have never repented of. When the leaders of the church so indulge, they create confusion for their followers at best. They will lead many who are following them, astray with them as they stay their course on the broad road to destruction. The New Testament pattern of leadership in the church includes the responsibility of being a moral example to the flock so the ripple effect of sin will potentially thwart the ministry and hinder the growth of the body corporately as well as the individuals therein.
