God's Rebellious Teenager

Because of the kindness and severity of God we should come trembling before the Lord. Because of God's kindness we have no excuse to persist in our sin. Because of God's severity there is great danger in persisting in our sin.
The Lord has been a gentle father.
But because God's people won't return, God won't raise them.
Because of God's gracious character he will have mercy.
God will bring his people back with power after punishment either to everlasting life or judgment.
