3 His Suffering

Just as we would rejoice when a particularly violent criminal is apprehended and brought to justice, so the unbelieving world cheered when Christ was shoved forward against the justice of God. He, it appeared, deserved it. He was a nobody who claimed to be God! He, it was presumed, deserved the full punishment of God. Yet what their blinded eyes couldn't see, was that the load Christ bore before His Father, was rightfully their load. He was bent over, straining for them! He was straining for me.
