Series Ten Commandments
I. Initial Observations
1st C deals with WHO we are to worship
2nd C deals with HOW we are to worship
3rd C deals with WHAT ATTITUDE we are to have in worship
4th C deals with WHEN we are to worship.
The principle of six days of labor and one day of rest.
Regarding worship – do you have time for God?
II. Exposition of This Commandment 8-11
A. Remember = zaw-kar'; to mark (so as to be recognized), i.e. to remember;
B. Sabbath = shab-bat' which derives from the verb "To Cease".
C. Keep & Holy -- come from the same root = qadash, kaw-dash';
to be clean (ceremonially or morally):
D. The Example is God’s Cessation from Labor on Day 7.
E. The Sabbath is Moral with Ceremonial Law Attached for Israel.
III. This Commandment During the Life of Christ Matt. 12:1-8

B. The Defense
Mercy 12:3-5
The Lordship of Christ 12:6-8
Mark 2:27 -- “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.”
