I Always Do Those Things That Please Him

As our Mediator Christ pleased His Father by living an obscure life as a carpenter's son, submitting to the rite of baptism, enduring temptations from the devil, pleasing His Father in every way during the years of His public ministry, and obeying His Father in His excruciating death. He continues to please God in the salvation of sinners. As our model He avoided everything that is displeasing to God, did those things that do please God, and always did so. Therefore, He was blessed with the encouraging and strengthening presence of God.
