Wanted by God

As pilgrims and sojourners here on earth, we do not fit into the world. We are out of step with those surrounding us. We are the misfits. Unwanted by the world! But Peter reminds us that we are WANTED BY GOD! It was the Father's PLAN to choose us to be part of Christ's family, the Church. The Holy Spirit is in charge of the PROCESS by which God's selections become part of the family. The Spirit convicts us of sin, opens our spiritual eyes to understand the gospel, and then bring us to Christ. We are born of the Spirit with life from above. We are saved, sealed, and ultimately delivered by the Spirit. And our selection is for the purpose that we might become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ, under a new covenant of obedience to the Lordship of Christ. We are not only loved by God; we are wanted by God!
