Faith: Our Hope and Our Vision

The blessed apostle in closing the preceding chapter recommended the grace of faith and a life of faith as the greatest preventative of apostasy. He now enlarges in the nature and the fruits of this excellent grace of God given faith to true believers. He fills this chapter with great examples from the Old Testament who lived by faith and did extraordinary things including suffering much because of this gift of God.
