Flee to the Rock of Your Salvation

Jesus warned his disciples to heed the signs so that when they saw the doom of Jerusalem approaching they would not stay in the city that was to be destroyed but flee to the mountains for safety.

As a result of Christ's warning, in 70 AD when the Roman legions approached Jerusalem the Christians fled to Pella, a mountain community and were saved from the destruction of the Jewish capital.
