Seeing God

God gives very specific instructions to Moses regarding the building of the Tabernacle. Why? Because this would be a picture of His presence among His people ... here, they would see Him. That means that we have to be very careful how we see God. He isn't visible in all the confused representations that surround us. He isn't visible in the Pope. He isn't visible in any picture where He is less than He says He is in Scripture.
