Angels had appeared to Mary and Joseph before Jesus' birth proclaiming Him to be the Messiah. But questions may have still plagued them. So it must have been a great encouragement to them when, on the 8th day of Jesus' life, a prophecy from an old man confirmed everything they'd heard about their son.
