Christian Liberty in Context

Paul builds on what he introduced in verses 1-4. Having instructed these Christians in Rome on how they are to love one another in the midst of disagreement over things that are related to the gospel while not essential to it, here he turns his attention to how they must think about the various elements over which they are in disagreement. He does this by putting their focus ultimately on Christ’s lordship over them and their lives.
