Putting The Stops On Doctrinal Drift

Timothy has been left at Ephesus to stop the doctrinal drift. to stop the teaching of error in the church. Paul is occupied with what he sees as a threat to the spiritual life and vitality in the church. I urged you to stay there so that you may instruct certain men not to teach strange doctrines. There are certain things that are not allowed to be taught. Things that are contrary to what the apostles taught. These teachers are teaching faith in Christ plus the necessity of keeping the law. Paul says that is not related in any way to the gospel that I preach. Modern day Judiazers teach the necessity of being baptized and taking the sacraments. Paul didn't play up to personalities. I don't care if an angel from heaven comes, if he preaches a gospel contrary to this gospel, he is going to hell.
