Faithful God, Unfaithful People

The record of the tribes who settled on the other side of the Jordan is one of human failure and God's faithfulness. Reuben lost his status as firstborn by his sin, yet in the war against the Hagrites the people overcame by faith. But their failure in falling into idolatry led to exile - yet in it all, God remained faithful - faithful in judgement as well as in grace.
